One Leaf − Many Varieties

One Leaf − Many Varieties

Black, green, white, red, brown – tea comes in a variety of colours. Taste ranges from smooth and sweet to strong and full-bodied. The range of varieties is every bit as broad. Different cultures and countries have different preferences combined with particular traditions, local customs or drinking habits.

Infusions made from pleasing herbs and refreshing fruits are also referred to as tea although they are not made from tea leaves, hence contain no caffeine. With one exception: mate tea made from the South American species of holly known as Ilex paraguariensis.
